You're probably wondering what blue algae is and how it is affecting our environment. Well we will find out.
Blue algae is bacteria that naturally occurs in our water. They form under certain circumstances that make them bloom and release toxins. Those circumstances are high levels of nutrients and light. Only some blooms are poisonous.The blooms normally look like paint floating on water. Once it's there, it's hard to get rid of.
Blue algae outbreaks occur because of too much nitrogen and phosphorus. Blue algae kills fish and plants. It also causes many injuries to humans. The fish market is being affecting by blue algae. If you see blue algae, dont get close because they can affect your liver, nervous system and skin.

Now that you know what blue algae is, I think we should try to get rid of it. You can get of blue algae by adding chemicals or you can manually cut the weeds growing in your lake. You can aslo have a fountain installed so that the constant movement will lessen the amount of blue algae growth.
