How to resolve a problem
Bring up problem at family meeting when emotions are no longer charged.
Ask for solutions
Write down solutions. DO NOT say "that's not a good idea". Write it all down.
Everyone circles solutions they are comfortable with.
Try out solution
Try solution for week. If doesn't work, choose another at next week's family meeting.
This helps your child develop the skill of finding multiple solutions to problems.
If you always tell your child what to do, he won't have the ability to problem solve well when you are not around.
