Checks and balances
My paper says what are checks and balances?
This system makes it so one branch of government does not over power the rest
Judicial Branch Checks and Balances
The Legislative branch can make a law and the President can agree on it but the Supreme Court has the final say on whether the law is valid or "constitutional".
The Legislative Branch's checks and balances
The Legislative branches make the laws. If the President vetoes the law then the bill can still become a law if 2/3 of the House and Senate votes for it. The legislative branch also has to approve of the Supreme Court Juctices and the President's cabinet members
The Execuitve Branches check's and balances
The legislative branch can make the laws but the President has to approve them in order for them to become official law of the land. The President is the only one who can recomend someone to become a Supreme Court Justice.
