Planet or not?
The debate of whether Pluto
should be considered a planet
has been going on for a long time.
It started in approximately 1930
when Clyde Tombaugh discovered
The discovery was announced to the public
in May (months later)
The newly-found planet
was at first known as "Planet X"
before Venetia Phair suggested "Pluto"
to her grandfather, Falconer Madan
who in turn, suggested it to his friend
Hall Turner, an Astronomy professor at Oxford.
