Causes of the American Civil War
The Missouri Compramise of 1820 made any tritory and new states free areas.
In the compromise of 1850 the Californa Republic was ametited as a free state into the Union.
The Futive slave act made it legal to hunt for escaped slaves in free states and teritories.
The undergroond railroad was a way the slaves of the south could become free. They would risk there lives and people that help risk there lives to get the slaves to safty were they could be free.
The Kansas and Nebraska Act of 1854, was made because the new tritories (Kansas and Nebraska) needed to find a way to settle the slavery and the act stated that it would be popular soverty that would solve the issue
Dred Scott a slave that was broght to a free state tryed to fight for his family's freedom but was told that they could never be free as long as they are black.
John Brown was a black man that lead the attack on white slave owners. This attack is called Bleeding Kansas.
John Brown was an abolitionist that was leading a raid on a federal armory.
The election of 1860 is when Aberaham Lincoln was put in office and was the final spark that started the American Civil War.
