WHAT IS EMPIRICISM?
Empiricism is the theory that experienced is of primary importance in giving us knowledge of the world. Whatever we learn, according to empiricist, we learn through preception.
WHAT JOHN LOCKE MEANS IS THAT WE USE OUR SENSES TO ENTER IMFORMATION INTO OUR BRAIN THROUGH EXPERIENCE. THIS IS CALLED INDUCTIVE REASONING WHERE WE FROM A SPECIFIC ASSUMPTION TO GENERAL ASSUMPTION

EXAMPLE OF OBSERVING AND EXPERIENCING :

Rationalism is a belief or theory that opinions and actions should be base on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response.
WHAT DESCARTES MEANS IS THAT WE USE DEDUCTIVE REASONING WHERE FROM A GENERAL ASSUMPTION TO A SPECIFIC ASSUMPTION IS USED.
