Ancient Chinese Mandate
The mandate of heaven is an Ancient Chinese philosophical idea which began during the "Zhou" dynasty. 1046 - 256 B.C.E. The mandate decides whether an emperor of China is good enough to rule. If he doesn't carry out his role as emperor well, then he loses the mandate, the right to be emperor.
What Life Was Like In Ancient China
Most of the Ancient Chinese population were peasant farmers. They provided food and resources for the rest of the Chinese. Life in the city for the Chinese was entirely different. They had multiple jobs, including: merchants, craftsmen, government officials and scholars. Women looked after the house and the children in both locations.
