What is Solar Energy
Solar Energy is, Radiant energy emmited by the sun.
Solar Energy-Radiant energy emmited by the sun.
Pros and Cons
Pro: Cuts down electricity bil,Renewable Resource, Environment Friendly, and low maintenance needed Con:Installation $15,000-$40,000, Weather-needs sun to generate power, Surroundings-trees and other house block sun. Space-need a lot of space to collect power. Maintenance-technician and paying for servive is costly.
Places that uses Solar Energy and the ways we use it.
We use solar energy, to heat water, heating buildings, and cooking. Powers homes, cars, appliances, businesses
Solar indoor lights-They capture light when the sun is out. They store the energy in a battery and then the battery powers the lamp. Outdoor Lights,Heaters, and I found this really cool you can use solar energy to heat your pool and hot tub.
1.)Solar Pannels convert the suns energy to electricity 2.)A control device changes this electricity, enabling to powe devices. 3.) It then passes through a breaker box to outlets in the building.
The history of photovoltaic energy (solar cells) started way back in 1876. William Grylls Adams along with a student of his, Richard Day, discovered that when selenium was exposed to light, it produced electricity. The sellium cells were not proven efficient, but it was proved that light could be converted to electricity. In 1953, Calvin Fuller, Gerald Pearson, and Daryl Chapin, discovered the silicon solar cell. This cell actually produced enough electricity and was efficient enough to run small electrical devices. Solar Power has come a long way. Solar power gets better everyday.

Fossil fuels must be burned to produce electricity. Burning them creates unwanted gasses that can create air and water pollution and release huge amounts of greenhouse gasses into the air. Solar panels produce power without waste or releases harmful waste.
Solar Energy vs Fossil Fuels
You can use solar power to heat water, heating buildings, and cooking. Powers homes, cars, appliances, businesses, and cities.
