I can answer that last one with reasonable certainty.
A few vital stats: I'm originally from Florida.
A state where the sunsets are the color of snack foods . . .
. . . the insects require saddles . . .
. . . and the pest problem is intractable.
Long ago in a city far, far away I went to law school.
But visions of drudgery and tedium disuaded me from diving into law.
So I took a job at the United Nations as a speechwriter.
At the UN, I learned the art of storytelling and how to order lunch in Korean.
One of these skills I've long since forgotten.
After a few years, Northeast winters and Brooklyn rent lost their novelty.
So I moved to San Francisco.
I needed to live in an affordable city with year-round hot weather .
Since then, I've been creating compelling customer experiences and, most recently, came from Walmart Labs.
I loved my time there. After four years, I'd collected enough flair for my greeter's vest. It was time to move on.
I'm excited to get started at Uber!
