7 Study Tips
To help you prepare for exams!
1. Highlight and Underline Text
This is a way of selecting and remembering the important information that you need to know.
2. Write your own Notes
Writing information down can help you store it much better than reading it. Try summarise the relevant points of what you read into your own words and writing.
3. Real Life Situations
Applying real life situations to your study topics can make them much easier to remember!
4. Be Resourceful
Make use of all the resources available - Knowledgepoint, MyRevision, lectures, textbooks and workshops are all there to help you!
5. Information Organisation!
Don't try to learn large amounts of information at any one time. Break information down into manageable chunks which you can review, revise and keep coming back to again and again. Repetition is the key to remembering!
6. Test Yourself
Create your own tests so you can quiz yourself on what you have been studying. Quizzing yourself is one of the best ways to retain information and prepare for the real exams.
7. Take Regular Breaks
Taking regular breaks from your study can help your mind absorb the information just learned and improve overall productivity and focus. So make yourself a cup of tea or go for a walk!
