He is the person who created Communism. he is known as the most influential figures because he infuenced many countries to become Communist.
Thomas Maltus was born in Febuary 14, 1760 and died in December 29, 1834. He argued that if the populations kept on growing we would have no more recources to support the population. He said that the two things that keep the population in check are deaths and low birth rate.
He made improvements to the Newcomen steam engine.
He also created a unit of power, the watt.
Invented and pantented dynamite in it 1867.
He also created the Nobel Prize which are 5 category awards held annually. He created this because of the fear of how he was going be rembered because the newspapers were saying "Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday."
The first successful steam engine was built by Thomas Newcomen around 1712 and was improved by James Watt in 1781.
The steam engine basically works by heating water in a boiler which produces steam which pushes.

The first attempts to make a steam boat was in mid 1700s and the first successful one was built in the beginning of 1800.
The steam boat uses a steam engine to turn the wheels on the side.
The idea of the telegraph was around the late 1700s and the first succesful one was built in 1837.
The telegraph basically works like switch connected to a wire that sends an electrical pulse

The cottin gin was invented by Eli Whitney in the late 1700s. It is used to remove the seeds from cottin which used to be extremenly hard.
In the enclosure system, the farm land is restricted to the owner or owners. This helped the Industrial Revolution because it left many people without jobs so they started to work in the factories.
