As former Historic Site Recording and assessment students, you all must be very familiarized with making a Building Characterization report. HOWEVER, if you are like me or like any other international student, you might not be exactly sure what actually means to do Building Characterization.
So, quoting Professor Mario Quintero, building characterization “is to accurately describe it and represent this information using key images and precise terminology”.
FIRSTLY, before going to the site, SEARCH for your building, and get as many information as you can find that may be relevant to the site.
A good website to look into is historic places . com
Search for general info, such as: Name, Address, Location, Year (s) of construction, Designation, etc…
