There is a lot more to DLE and DC
There are many examples of schools, teachers and students interacting and engaging with technology to enhance the learning experience. Teachers must not assume students know or understand about digital citizenship. Students are familiar with the technology but need to be taught the responsibilities of using it.
The responsibilities exceed the 5 elements of digital citizenship. A growing area that needs to be taught and revised is the area of ‘safety, privacy, copyright, fair use, and legal compliance’ (Lindsay & Davis, 2013, p102). These areas are continually growing and changing along with the advancement of technology and this needs to be everyone's role and responsibility as teachers of connected classrooms.
