Why is it difficult for women with children to have an active lifestyle?
The study found that having a child significantly decreased physical activity levels in the parents. It is dificult for women with children to lead an active lifestyle, because they are busy looking after their child/children. They are constantly chasing after them, making sure they get to school safely and making sure they are safe and well looked after. This means their time is often limited and their day revolves around their child/children, this limits their chances to life an active life.
Why is it important to have an active lifestyle?
The benefits for a women with a child/children is extremely rewarding, they can have more energy and do more things with their child/children if they lead an active life. They can help their child train for a sporting event, they can run around and play make believe with their child/children. Children look up to their mothers so when a mother is healthy and active, it influences their child/children to become healthy and active.
So how can a women with children have an active lifestyle?
Living an active lifestyle with children is as easy as
Walking or running with a pram, or exercise while your baby is asleep. If you have older children you can do family activities such as; riding bikes, going for hikes, swimming, ice skating and other enjoyable physical activities
The benefits of leading an active lifestyle
Gives you more energy and keeps you healthy and you are at less of a risk to have a heart disease, or a stroke, you are less likely to have diabetes and to get cancer.
