Your company's main activity
Dad decided to pursue a PhD at USC in molecular biology
So my parents and I immigrated to a city in SoCal called Alhambra
As first generation immigrants, my parents did not have much:
Dad was pursuing his Ph.D.
Mom was a lab assistant
We lived in a 3-bedroom apartment with another family of 3. My parents and I lived in the master bedroom. I lived in the walk-in closet.
But I could not have imagined a childhood more happy and full of love!
My parents scrimped and saved to make sure I could pursue all my interests
We moved to Thousand Oaks when I was about to enter high school, where the average income was much
This was the first time I felt the pinch of my family's financial constraints
I told myself I never wanted to experience financial stress in the future
So I picked the most lucrative fields after college: banking and private equity
But I learned that money was not enough to make me happy.
THEN I CAME
TO THE GSB
Where I finally had the time and space to figure out what I really liked...
I have never been as happy, inspired, and optimistic as I am now.
This is the first time I'm uncertain about my future career path, but all I know is I'll be doing something that truly makes me happy.
That's all for now... Living the next chapter now!
