-Born in 6 January, c. 1412 Domrémy, Duchy of Bar, France. -Died the 30 of May 1431 Rouen, Normandy -She was born to Jacques d'Arc and Isabelle,a peasant family, at Domrémy in north-east France.
-Joan said she received visions of the Archangel Michael, Saint Margaret, and Saint Catherine instructing her to support Charles VII and recover France from English domination . -The uncrowned King Charles VII sent Joan to the siege of Orléans as part of a relief mission. -This long-awaited event boosted French morale and paved the way for the final French victory.
How she started
1: Joan´s real name was Jehanne d´Arc, Jehanne Terc, etc.. 2: Doctors and scholars diagnosed Joan withdisordes ranging from epilepsy to schizophrenia 3: While commander of the French army, she didn´t participate in active combat. 4: She had a famously volatile temper. 5: Joan´s brothers passed an imposter off as their sister, claiming she´d escaped execution 6: she inspired the ever popular bob haircut.
She and her followers escorted Charles acrossenemy territory to taking towns that resisted by force and enabling his coronation as King Charles VII in July 1429 In the spring of 1430, the king ordered Joan to confront a Burgundian assault on Compiégne. In her effort to defend the town and its inhabitants, she was thrown from her horse, and was left outside the town’s gates as they closed. The Burgundians took her captive
May, 30, 1431. It was on this day that the death of Joan of Arc be conducted through burning Joan of Arc at the stake. Joan of Arc's death would prove to be one of the greatest injustices in the Middle Ages, and it was not until 500 years later that she was found innocent of all heresy charges by the Pope himself.
