Students planning to earn a 4-year degree
Completion of English 1 with a C or better
Basic Knowledge of research and MLA documentation
A desire to do some serious play!
Basic Computer Skills, like save, copy/paste
2 Deadlines Per Week
On Wednesday and Friday @ Noon

FOR 15 WEEKS
This course introduces students to the major genres of literature and addresses issues related to writing about literature and/or other texts.
BY THE END OF THE COURSE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO...
Analyze literature using the vocabulary of literary criticism. Apply appropriate strategies when reading literary works. Interpret literature that avoids the myth of "hidden meaning." Practice summary, response, explication, and close reading techniques. Evaluate literature.
