The Vietnam war
by: Mason M. Dimock
The vietnam war started in 1954 when Vietnam fired on a US ship. There were 500,000 soldiers in the area. The war was the Vietcong VS the USA. There were 2 million civillian deaths in the war and 1.1 vietcong deaths. The Vietcong used tctics like guerilla warfare, and mortar shelling. The jungle was unnatural territory, and the Vietcong were everywhere, so they had to search villages, and often times burn them down, and search random citizens and houses because the Vietcong could be anywhere.
many new policies came from this war that helped form other wars in the future. They also made wars more organized because of the rules. These made war more civilized (or as civilized as war can be) as well.
This was the only war that we lost.
