What is XP disease?
By Samantha Knight
Well, XP (Xeroderma Pigmenosum) is an extreme sensitivity to sunlight/UV rays
This is a very rare disease 1 in a million kind of rare.
Unless you wear: -UV blocking hood -Long sleeve shirt and pants -Sunscreen head to toe -Gloves
Your skin can not be exposed to sunlight....ever!
People with XP have an increased chance of getting skin cancer
This is because the sun's UV rays damage our skin. People with XP can't repair the broken DNA
Most XP children develop skin cancer before
Symptoms will appear at an early age
