Forward your email to another address
You can have your MIT email forwarded to another email account
... such as Gmail, for example
First option: Web Form
The easiest way is using the mailto form created by the Student Information Processing Board (SIPB). Visit:
Log in with your Kerberos and password
Type in your forwarding address
Type in your forwarding email
Double check for correctness!
The application doesn't check if the specified address exists or is correct
To split your mailbox (recieve copies at both addresses) click on the word "Instead" so that it becomes "In Addition"
Second Option: Command Line
Another option is using an Athena workstation and command line.
1. Log in to Athena via a workstation, ssh, or through
2. Type the following command, replacing the email with your own:
chpobox -s firstname.lastname@example.org
to split, use capital S:
Double check that your email is correct!
