There are the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches
Includes President, Vice President, and Department Heads
Carry out and recommend laws
Direct the military and foreign affairs
President is Commander in Cheif of military
Cabinet members advise President
It is located in capital building . Congress creates laws. It is made up of House of Representatives and Senate. There are 435 Representatives. There are 100 Senators. They introduce bills that can become laws, and they serve every person in the country.
The legaslative branch includes Congress
Supreme court made up of 9 justices Rule if court cases are constitutional Did you know that theSupreme court is the highest court in the country? They interpret the Constituition.
Checks and Balances
These were created to make sure none of the branches had more power If two of the braches agreed a person/people from the other branch could be fired
