-Herpes pathogens eat nutrients off of cells to maintain metabolisim
-Reproduces in nucleus of a cell. Virus particle forms in nucleus before budding off covered in nuclear membrane material. Herpes simplex paritcle leaves cell to reproduce.
How is it transmitted?
Herpes Simplex Virus
Through Saliva: -Kissing -Using same eating utensils -Sharing personal items (toothbrush, etc.) -Receiving oral sex
Through broken skin or muscous membrane -Carried through fluids like saliva
