According to bullyingstatistics.org suicide is one of the leading causes of death among young people because of bullying. That results in about 4,400 deaths per year.
As stated by ABC News, statistics say that 30% of students are either bullies or victims of bullying. Around 160,000 stay home because of fear of bullying.
Bully related suicide is connected to physical bullying, emotional bullying, verbal bullying, cyberbullying, and sexting.
Pacer.org general data says that nearly 1 in 3 students report getting bullied in the school year, the rest stay quiet because of fear. About 64% don't report, only 36% reports.
19.6% of students in the US reported getting bullied the past year, and 14.8% reported getting bullied online. Most bullying reports are because of the looks, shapes, and races.
On the other side, more than half of bullying situations friends have interven, and bullying prevention programs have decreased bullying up to 25%.
After all it's not right, it's not right to use superior strength to intimidate or force someone to do as you want. It's time to make a difference.
