Stages of sleep
Stage one: Brief stage of light sleep
During this stage you experince confusion between reality and dreaming, falling sensations such as jerking or floating may occur as well as find it a blur between reality and dreaming.
Stage two: deeper sleep
During this stage you have falling into a deeper sleep, but you are still readily awakened
Stage three: deep sleep
During this stage it is becomes hard to wake people up.
Stage four: deeper sleep
During this stage is usually when bed wetting occurs
REM: ( rapid eye movement)
During this stage vivid dreams occur. Your brain is extremely active but your body isnt able to move. Your brain waves and breathing become rapid as well as increased heart rate. Also during this time,your eyes moves around every half a minute.
Overview of The Stages Sleep
Stage 1. You feel yourself drifting on the edge of consciousness (alpha)
Stage 3: Breathing and pulse have slowed down
Stage 2: Minor noises won't disturb you
Stage 4: deep sleep
REM: Increased eye movement, loss of muscle tone, dreaming occurs
