Interdisciplinary literacy through

To strengthen student participation and engagement with mathematics, using knowledge of social and participatory media.

Used Ning.com to create a social network for her students. They were able to interact and discuss the current topic with other classes and interacted with non-mathematic classes.
Issues with Ning.com
- Initially difficult and time-consuming to monitor the Ning social network and locate a specific piece of student work. - creating and using an online site required a solid understanding of software tools.
How does this affect us?
As technology begins to take over classrooms, we need to learn to utilize this technology in order to succeed.
