A Constitutional Controversy
The Fourteenth Amendment
The difference between black and white
Is not as clear as we think it is
Allan Bakke is unfairly denied admission to the University of California due to his race
The rights given by the 14th Amendment are ignored.
And although Bakke eventually gains admission...
And quotas are voted unconsitutional...
Some are still given a greater chance than others
With something called
Which TRIES to correct past discrimination to give blacks and hispanics a better chance at life
But is this fair?
Affirmative action has gone WAY TOO FAR
It denies others a chance at success by judging their color of skin
It is susceptible to abuse (most notably by Elizabeth Warren, who said she was Native American)
Its time to forget about race
And start considering what's inside
Its not who you appear to be
But who you truly are underneath
