Bulgarian rugs are completely authentic hand-made, smooth, double-sided with absolute similarity between both sides. They are handcrafted out of natural materials – cotton and wool. Their motifs feature stylized figures depicting the authentic domestic scenes and traditional culture – that is how our rugs whisper a tale of the Bulgarian people’s old traditions, customs and history.
Grape growing and wine production have a long history in Bulgaria, dating back to the times of the Thracians. Bulgaria was the world's second largest wine producer in 1980s.Today Bulgarian wine is still quality equivalent in the worldwide wine industry.
In Bulgaria, yogurt is called sour milk, and has a long and storied history that is said to date back at least 4000 years. A mildly sour-tasting yogurt, kiselo mlyako, is Bulgarian invention and heritage, and is considered the best and healthiest of all dairy products currently available to consumers. None of the yogurts from a dozen countries outside the Balkans tastes anything like the Bulgarian variety.
