Beryllium has two valence electrons.
Flourine has 7 valence elections.
Beryllium has a positive charge of 2.
Fluoride has a negative charge of 1.
We will need two Flourine atoms so that Beryllium can donate both of its electrons to each Flourine atom.
Beryllium ion than becomes Beryllium ion.
Flourine ions than becomes Flourine ions
Beryllium Flouride compound is formed.
