Not so cute right, well wake up because this is the screwed up reality of it all. Every year in the U.S. alone, over 25 million animals are used in biomedical experimentation, product and cosmetic testing, and science education. This includes—dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, pigs, sheep, monkeys, chimpanzees, and more. However, the majority of animals in labs (over 90 percent) are rats, mice, and birds. Some estimates place them in the tens to hundreds of millions.
Animals in labs live stressful, monotonous, and unnatural lives of daily confinement and deprivation. The only changes in their lives may come from being called into a research or testing protocol—which may include an invasive experiment, or a procedure whose endpoint is death. A large number of lab animals suffer isolation, boredom, anxiety, psychological distress, separation from their mothers soon after birth, and sleeplessness. These discomforts are in addition to the physical pain the animals endure during performance of the experiments.
Perhaps you have seen the images of fluffy white rabbits, locked into restraining devices while substances are smeared into their eyes or rubbed onto their shaved skin to test for a reaction. Animal testing to determine the safety of cosmetics, personal care products, and household cleansers is only part of the science that involves warm-blooded mammals. Animals are also used, and subsequently killed, every year in many other types of laboratory experiments, from military testing to simulated car crashes to deliberately introduced diseases such as AIDS and Alzheimer’s. These experiments take place in labs at universities, pharmaceutical companies, and testing agencies, and on farms and military bases around the world.
So now a HUGE thought that I will so forcfully stick in your minds, is why them? Why these little organisms that only to good on thisearth. When all humans do is polute and ruin nature an all this world has to offer. Why these little beings that would trust you with there life and look up to you. For what? But you must know , just like everything else in this word. For money. Because torturing and taking lifes is worth the money. A peice of plastic that now ruels the whole world.
I dont know if any of you know alot about chimpanzees, but I kinda grew up with them being my animal. Always Interested in them and always watching shows and documenteries about them. They are very socail animals, almost exactly like humans beside the fact that they arnt cruel like humans are. They have their own families, they help eachother out and find eachother very funny. And since they are so much like us, they are expairimented on for "our greater good". They get reeped from their homes, torured and killed all around the world. An when they are put into these facilities, they get put into cages seperated from eachother and are basically dead the moment they arrive.
To end this presentation off on a happy picture, dont forget about these beautiful strong animals. What you can do: 1. Stop buying products tested on animals 2. Sign a petition online 3.Write to a company testing on animals
