How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
i have been careful to be consistent in the design of our news package, making sure our brand is easy to identify on more than one platform.
We also aimed to use similar pastel and bright colours throughout our three products to put across the same lighthearted and cheerful feel throughout our brand. We also used very similar fonts in our three products so that our brand is recognised throughout all three products and there is no confusion.
We also ensured to use relevant pictures throughout our website to establish location instantly. As well as this we included other small local stories to entise people to return to our website.
Here is a screenshot of the end of our opening title sequence which shows an animation of Portobello Market and then our brand logo in front.
As you can see we stuck by our theme by keeping with the bright colours to outline the lightheartedness of our news.
We also kept the same font throughout to stick to our brand and theme.
In our news package we tried to make sure all our shots were location specific to make it easier for the audience to identify the area and associate it with our brand. By doing this we made sure significant places could be seen in the background of our footage.Again, we ensured to stick with our colour theme of pastel pink, pastel blue and black with our news ticker, also adding a bit of white for professionalism, similarly to the BBC.
