"Treat others how you would like to be treated"
A sense of empathy, or the ability to put oneself into the shoes of another, is the basis for kindness. Prompting people to engage in behaviours such as helping others and the environment, increases feelings of well-being; conversely, people who are happy are much more likely to help others.
Kindness leads to appreciation and health
If we think about the environment and other living animals on Deakin Island, then we will create a sustainable place to live. We need to think about our environment and everyone in it in order to live in a selfless and kind society.
We need to not just think of ourselves, but the environment and other living creatures too
If we pollute the environment, then we aren't being kind to the animals or plants that live amoung us on Deakin Island. Being sustainable is being kind to all living things around us.
