Today I will be informing you of what I learnt in the progression of my preliminary task to the full product.
What have you learnt?
That a shooting schedule and screenplay are vital if we want a project to be a success because it guides everyone so there is no time wasting or confusion.
Why are they so important?
They are important because they ensure that we are organised and know exactly what we should be doing/saying and when.
So what happened?
During the making of our preliminary task...
We made the mistake of not following a shooting schedule
This lead to us wasting a lot of time and we ended up rushing our task.
What did you change?
- My group and I ensured that we were very well organised; we made a clear shooting schedule, screenplay and revised them both to make sure there were no problems. -We also took a more serious approach to our final film as we realised that just a bit of messing around could cost us a lot of content.
I feel like I have learnt a lot throughout this process. I learnt that organisation is key and so is harwork. I have also developed my abiltiy to work the camera and have found out a lot about the effectiveness of certain shot types. Additionally, I've picked up some new time management skills as this has been a crucial aspect of our journey. .I have also learnt that teamwork is very important and we couldn't have done it without our combined efforts and each individual's input. Finally, I've learnt a lot about editing and can say I'm now confident with using iMovie.
