WHAT IS SKIN CANCER?
Abnormal growth of skin cells
Unrepaired DNA damage to skin cells trigger mutations
Caused by UV radiation by the sun or tanning beds
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
- fair skin - moles - too much sun - history of burns - family history - weak immune system
Examine the skin for any abnormalities
Skin biopsy on suspected parts
Observe skin particles through dermoscope
- freezing - excisional surgery - mohs surgery (bigger) - radiation or chemo therapy
