"You, Oedipus, are the one who murdered King Lauis."
"I do not believe you!"
"The murderer of Laius will turn out to be both father and brother to his own children, and the son of his own wife"
"Jocasta, Teiresias says I am the one who killed King Lauis."
"But prophets have been wrong before. Our son was prophesied to kill King Lauis but we had the baby killed to avoid the prophecy."
"I'm not sure about this."
"I once attacked a group of men at a crossroads. There was one survivor. Bring him to me."
"Oedipus, your father, Polybus is dead. You are to take his place."
"The prophecy is not true!"
"Jocasta, years ago I killed a group of travelers. King Lauis could of been one of them"
"Oedipus, you were adopted."
"Oh no! This means..."
"I thought the prophecy could be avoided if I took you away from Thebes."
After realizing the prophecy is true, Jocasta takes her own life.
Oedipus finds Jocasta's body and now knows the truth. He stabs his own eyes out and exiles himself from Thebes.
