The Respiratory System is the group of organs that allow us to breathe
The main organs
- Lungs -Pharynx -Larynx -Trachea -Diaphragm -Rib cage -Bronchioles/ alveoli
First, we breathe in air through our nose or mouth.
The air then passes through the Pharynx and the Larynx (vocal chords).
Next, the air travels down the trachea, the tube that connects the Pharynx and Larynx to the lungs. It is for air only.
From here, they enter the lungs, where oxygen is produced. At the same time, the diaphragm relaxes and retracts to let air in.
