Guide for non-custodial teams
The building will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The entrance and all areas of the building are designed to provide access to all, including wheelchair access.
All visitors will gain entrance via the Visitor's entrance.
Officers & staff based at the custody suite will need to share a contact number with any visitors.
You'll need force identification to enter the building. If you have a visitor ask them to sign the Visitor’s book when entering and leaving the building and clearly display a visitor pass. Please escort them at all times and ensure they follow emergency evacuation procedures.

Can you show me your WMP ID or Visitor badge please?
It's important that you continue to wear your WMP ID whilst inside the building. Challenge anyone not clearly wearing Force ID or a Visitor pass.
Make yourself aware of site safety, fire and security procedures. Evacuation instructions are on health and safety notice boards. Fire alarms are tested weekly. Fire drills will be carried out twice a year. Only use electrical items on site that are provided and installed by the force.

Meeting rooms are on the ground and first floor. These will be bookable via Outlook. If meetings end early or are cancelled please update Outlook to show the room is available. Clear meeting rooms after use and put all furniture back to where it was found.
Informal meet and break out spaces
As well as meeting rooms there are 'informal meet' areas that you do not need to book. These are semi-private areas with relaxed seating.
Each team will have designated lockable office file storage There is a large storage room on the 1st floor with allocated storage space available in lockable roller racking Personal storage lockers will be allocated to all staff including the facility to hang up coats (instead of the backs of chairs) Officers will also be allocated full length kit lockers which are located on the ground floor in the shower and changing area Airwave and CS lockers will be located on the ground floor near to the locker rooms Lost property will be given to the security staff until collection or disposal takes place.
Whiteboards & Walls
Whiteboards will be available for work related information. Whiteboard content needs to be approved by a line manager and cleared on a weekly basis or when expired. Nothing should be stuck directly onto the walls.
Extensive unisex changing facilities with allocated lockers and a drying room.
Showers & Locker Rooms
Private shower and change cubicles
Available on the ground floor and first floor.
Fitted with lockable cupboards, fridges, Zip boilers & microwaves.
Breakout areas with tables, chairs and soft furnishings.
There will be two post collection points in the building, one in the custody suite and one within the office space. Deliveries should be clearly marked for the attention of the recipient. Please make sure your BluePages entry shows your new location.
Recycling and Waste
Waste bins, printers and shredders will be in an allocated space within the main office area. All confidential waste must be shredded. Please recycle wherever possible.
Maintenance and Repair issues
If you have any issues with any aspect of the building please report it to Property Services via the 'My Service Portal' on your desk top
