It also has a lot of calcium which is good for you bones.
During very intense excersize it it very easy to get dehydtrated. This can highly effect your preformance and the worse effect it could have is death. Throughout the day it is importnat to keep drinking because once you feel thirsty you body is already dehydrated. Cold liquids are absored into your body fatser so when it is possible you should drink cold water.
While you are participating in a sport your body tries to cool you down by sweating. Sweating releases electrolytes from your body. Electrolyes are what transmit nerve signals in your body. To replace the lost electrolytes different sports drinks can do that. The best would be to have equal amounts of the drink and water so you are staying hydrated and getting more electrolytes.
