Hello!, you are about to learn about foxes, part of the animal kingdom, classified as a mammal.
Foxes are classified as mammals. We know that they are mammals because, they have glands that produce milk, this helps feed their young. Second, they have hair or fur. Third, all mammal's bones are placed very similar to each other.
The animal kingdom are seperated into groups. These groups are called, vertabrates and and ivertabrates. Vertabrates are animals such as, tigers, lions, foxes, dogs and cats. Invertabrates are animals such as spiders and insects.
The Arctic Fox's coat changes with the seasons. In the Winter, the Arctic Fox's coat turns white, to blend in with the surroundings so that, it's enemies and it's prey cannot find it for, the fox will either get eaten or it will not get to eat it's prey if it does not hide with it's surroundings.
In the Summer, the Arctic Fox's coat turns a brownish-grey to blend in with the Tundra surroundings. I bet you didn't know that!
