Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)
Classical and Romantic era
Beethoven often dipped his head in cold water before composing!
He wrote one of his sonatas entirely at night and so called it the "Moonlight Sonata"
Beethoven is said to have had a few lessons from Mozart.
Beethoven started losing his hearing in this early 30s. By 1819, he was completely deaf, but composed some of his most renowned works during this time.
